Def-Con 4 (film review)

I bought it a 2 dollar shop that has amazingly cheap crap and DVD’s… Mostly picked this over the amazing art-work and how it was $1 dollar so either way I won’t complain. Though those like me how are familiar with Government operations will know “Def-Con 4” is the lowest of defences…

Two men and a woman circle the globe in a satellite armed with a nuclear device. The third world war breaks out, and a few months later the satellite crashes. They survive the crash but one man gets killed by survivors and the other man gets caught. The woman stays by the remains of the satellite but is soon caught by evil punks who have taken power.

It starts of very strong but it get’s boring and repetiv half way in… After that you just can’t wait for it too ends. The story is predictable and boring and it’s already been done like a million times before.

The acting is amateur at most but some of our leads aren’t bad besides the god awful dialogue that goes with the story. Mostly stupid and dull action scene’s that only go with the films padding…

But a positives I can think is at the start with out a doubt some amazing impressive special effects for a low budget and it reminds me of 2001 – A Space Odyssey a lot. But after that MEH…

Overall if you need to waste some time I would recommended doing it with some other film of Post-Apocalyptic flick… Your better of looking at the Art-Work for the poster than seeing it…

Jesse’s Def-Con 4 score 15-100%

  2. I didn't expect much from the cover art and the name, and it sounds like my presumptions were correct. Great review Jesse
